A member of our quartet (Northeast Texas Saxophone Quartet) found your excellent website. We started with Looney Tunes and West Side Story and are reading others. Great work and thanks! Two side notes: One to Pavel, who referred us in his posting to the recording of the Jerusalem Saxophone Quartet. Thank you for that! In the last movement, I noticed the group shouted the word "Mambo" or something to that effect. It's been a long time since I saw West Side Story and if you read this, please confirm what the word is. I like it, and I assume it is true to the original. Second, I confess we edited Looney Tunes a bit. Having grown up watching Bugs Bunny, Porky Pig and friends, we changed the rhythm and phrasing in the 9th and 10th and the 13th and 14th measures after E. Instead of straight eighth notes, we made them dotted eighth followed by sixteenths, and slurred them to the first eighth note in the following measure. Also, we switched the final long note between the soprano and alto parts so that the final concert F (fifth of the chord) is played by the soprano and the root (tonic) is played by the alto. Seems to work better. I hope you don't mind! Keep up the great work and thanks again!

Hi Phillipe again! Saxsatonal recently performed another one of your superb arrangement, this time the Adagio for Strings, as part of our concert at the Worksop Priory Church. The audience loved it and so I thought i should congratulate you again on your amazing skills of bringing my favoutite music into sax quartet format. Bravo!!

Hello Philippe! I purchased your sax quartet arrangement, "Themes de Georges Bizet" from Sibelius.com. I think it's so great! The quartet I play with loves it! By any chance, have you arranged a duet version of it? (soprano/alto, soprano/tenor, alto/tenor, alto/alto, etc...) Thanks so much! Lynda
